The 10 hours FREE Homecare offer
gives you the chance to try the service before committing

If you’re looking after someone with a health need due to illness, disease or simply old age, you may benefit from a private homecare service from Help for Carers.

Homecare is for anyone who needs a break from caring, be that an afternoon or even a whole night. It’s all about helping carers maintain their quality of life. All care staff are fully trained to deal with a number of conditions including dementia, palliative care and mental health and are trained in first aid, food hygiene and health and safety.

Help for Carers is a not for profit company that specialises in home based support for people who look after someone with a care need caused by disability, illness or age. We offer highly skilled, friendly carers who can provide personal care and companionship, give medication and do bits of light housework.

A care plan is tailored to each person’s care needs and then matched with a great care worker you can be happy with. You can have a regular break and the person you care for gets looked after at the same time too.

*Carers must live in London Boroughs of Croydon, Kingston, Richmond, Lambeth, Merton, Sutton or Wandsworth. The Ten Hours Free Homecare offer is subject to our terms and conditions of service. Each Homecare visit must be of at least two hours duration. The current hourly rate is £19.90 (this rate is guaranteed to 31 July 2017.) All Homecare visits are subject to availability.

Help for Carers Homecare (Respite) Care Service is available every day and night of the year except Bank Holidays. Services start from as little as 2 hours per week.

Help for Carers combines the integrity of being a not for profit organisation with a business focus to provide the best possible care possible. As a result, customer satisfaction is where we really stand out. 96% of clients say they are very happy with the service they receive.

The first step is to arrange a home-visit so we can carry out an assessment of your care needs.

How we help David and Louise

Louise Hale is a full time carer for her husband, David, who has progressive multiple sclerosis, is registered blind and a full time wheelchair user. Help for Carers provides Mrs Hale with regular breaks from her caring responsibilities which enables her to leave the house and have essential “me” time for shopping, socialising and doing her gardening.

Help for Carers have a team of Care Support Workers who carry out several visits each week to Mr and Mrs Hale. They each take on the role of caring for David in Louise’s absence and also provide him with companionship, sharing his interests such as watching TV and films, completing crosswords and reading aloud.
